Denmark has donated 19 of the F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, and now Trump has ordered an end to US support for their onboard jamming equipment, thereby helping Putin destroy this USD 291,000,000 donation.

This US administration is our enemy, and the sooner our politicians realize that, the safer we are.

@BobHorowitz I find much joy in the fact that breaking an alliance only works once, and when the 50 allies have finally replaced everything American, Trump will have zero power, and Ukraine will be given zero limits to their attacks on Russia.

The Biden escalation management days are gone.

in reply to Randahl Fink

We are all hoping the extortionist fails. If that means the alliance is destroyed then, sadly, it has to be so.
in reply to Randahl Fink

"@BobHorowitz Me alegra mucho el hecho de que romper una alianza solo funciona una vez, y cuando los 50 aliados finalmente hayan reemplazado todo lo estadounidense, Trump no tendrá ningún poder y Ucrania no tendrá ningún límite para sus ataques contra Rusia.

Los días de gestión de la escalada de Biden han quedado atrás."

@BobHorowitz

I can't help but think that this offer was intended to smoke Krasnov out further. It doesn't get more blatant than this.

in reply to Randahl Fink

@BobHorowitz

Why the fuck don't we just give Zalensky his nukes back already? There's a fucking war going on! We could end it tomorrow. Give him a dozen MIRVs.

in reply to Randahl Fink

Will anyone want to buy weaponry from the US in the future? They're a rogue nation dumping on their former allies and can no longer be trusted.

And anyone purchasing F-35 now has a similar dilemma. (Looks at Canada)
in reply to Randahl Fink

Trump is making anything from the US military industrial complex a high risk purchase and such is hurting business.

The EU military industrial complex says thank you very much for the boost.

Adversary for now. Enemy is when they shoot at you. Let's see to it this does not happen.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Unfortunate time to cancel all weapon purchases in the US, but they are a little too expensive for wooden swords 🤬
in reply to Randahl Fink

Don't ask what might happen, if the orange urges Microsoft to to the same with Windows.
Europe will be back in the early 70s. Let's fax again 😹😿

It's a ...king shame that Europe failed all the time to stay/become independent.

in reply to Randahl Fink

This could damage the US arms industry for a long time. It will cause Southern California some pain since that’s where the design work is mostly done. I can’t say less reliance here on the defense industry is a bad thing though.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Why is Australia buying submarines from the USA that can be sabotaged by an idiot in the Whitehouse. Stop AUKUS.
in reply to Randahl Fink

I wonder if this will have unintended consequences, like some clever people reverse-engineering the jamming, or developing a superior alternative, or DOGE cuts somewhere leading to the documentation on these systems being exposed on the internet …

short:
if e.u. increases military spending, 0 dollars should go to u.s. made weapons or military technology.

e.u. needs nucular strategy, which includes offensive weapons. emphasizing defensive weapons.

This is the end of anyone buying US military anything, or should be. #Canada is still buying F35s, and that order should have been cancelled yesterday.

Eventually our Western allies are going to not buy American war equipment.
in reply to Randahl Fink

It’s Ukrainians who figured out how to bypass the DRM on John Deere tractors. Maybe they can try their hand at this.
in reply to Randahl Fink

the French technology will be a key factor to help ukrainian fighter jets being able to jam russian drones and radars. I expect my country of birth to give more Mirages in the coming year. They will have to build more Rafales in order to replace the Mirages that could go in Ukraine.
in reply to Randahl Fink

The US seems determined to destroy their export industries, not just in defence but in all key strategic technological areas, not just for Europe and the UK, for whom they are an adversary, but also for any country which still considers them an ally or even just a potential supplier.

This is why Canada should not include the Aegis fire control system in their new destroyers as the USA would have control which we don't want or need.

Esta administración estadounidense es nuestro enemigo, y cuanto antes se den cuenta nuestros políticos, más seguros estaremos.

"Trump has ordered an end to US support for their onboard jamming equipment, thereby helping Putin"
So Donald is not only stopping aid on a macro financial scale but even has his eyes on such details as stopping software support.
And still nobody comes to the conclusion that the US president is controlled by the Russian secret service. How ignorant can Americans be?

Sensitive content

in reply to Randahl Fink

Trump is such a fucking dotard! He will do anything he has to help his boyfriend, Putin.
in reply to Randahl Fink

in other words, it was never about the Europeans paying their share for NATO readiness. This was and has always been about the members buying and supporting the US military industry complex, and still allowing the United States to control where, when, and how it’s used. Time to cut the cord and start buying European.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Hey, do you know what people do all the time with closed proprietary electronics?

Hack the crap out of them, and install open systems on them. Yes, it may be a late time, but never late than never. Lets crack these things open and liberate them from foreign control.

in reply to Randahl Fink

Europe should cancel all contracts with US arms manufacturers. Lockheed, Boeing, Raytheon, and the rest will take care of it.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Unfortunately, at this point European nations should cancel orders of US military equipment if possible.
And to stop buying new American weaponry in the foreseeable future.
in reply to Randahl Fink

a week or so ago, I posted something about Europe having to be mindful of the US forces on the continent. I contended that the Europeans might very well go out to meet the Russian invasion forces, just to find that the US military will attack them in the back and help the Russians slaughter them.
At the time I had people letting me know that the US military would stand down and refuse such order.
Does that kind of American treachery still sound so far-fetched?

in reply to Randahl Fink

After this, the world should know that buying military arms from America is a bad investment. The US government can unilaterally disable important aspects of its functionality while on the battlefield.
in reply to Randahl Fink

aren't the Ukrainian hackers really good at removing DRM? Probably worth a shot.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Trust is everything !
Once trust is lost on the US products, will take forever to be rebuilt.
Why nobody seems to grasp this simple concept ?
in reply to Randahl Fink

If he can do that to Ukraine, he can do it to you, and will on a whim.
in reply to Randahl Fink

If people don’t see this as proof-positive that Trump is the Emperor, not Luke, I just don’t know what to say.
in reply to Randahl Fink

its Europe's own stupidity to interfere in conflicts based solely on a "trust me bro" assurance

EDIT
*not to mention giving away billions in aid + weapons, ammo, tanks and equipment

Nice to see France stepping up. Canada loves Europe. We're in this with you.
in reply to Randahl Fink

This regime is the enemy of the American people, too. The protests are growing larger. It's going to have to be settled in the streets.
in reply to Randahl Fink

The U.S. administration is a danger to all of us even the stupid members of the GOP!
in reply to Randahl Fink

OK after reading this it would cost Canada 313 million to cancel our fighter plane contract with the USA. At first I thought that was stupid, now I think it's prudent. We should buy our planes from someone sane and reliable .
in reply to Randahl Fink

Europe has to act now like Xi, Trump and Putin already diveded the globe in three parts.
in reply to Randahl Fink

I believe he has gone long passed the mark where he can be constitutionally removed from office.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Denmark should put pressure on US by threatening to cancel the order of F-35 and buy Gripen/Rafale instead.
in reply to Randahl Fink

European clowns were happy to be a part of US empire when its sights were aimed at the Global South. Now it’s suddenly ‘the USA cannot be trusted’. All I say is welcome to the club.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Is the only reason that the majority of #Americans don't see that #BigHands is obviously a #Russian asset, is because they don't want to feel really bad and stupid about voting for him even though the evidence has been pretty obvious for a really long time.

And even if there weren't any evidence going back so many years, everything he's doing right now is in #Putin's advantage. Weakening the Canadian and American economy. Ruining the #dollar. #nato

in reply to Randahl Fink

You can add US defence exports to the list of things Trump has fucked over.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Komrade Drump is tanking the US defence industry.
Who the hell is going to buy their weapons after something like this?
The stockmarket knows, just look at US rates going down and European going up!

People who vote for so-called ‘strong’ powers are going to love life in Europe.

We are returning to a dark age of barbarism.

Let the resistance begin!

in reply to Randahl Fink

in reply to Randahl Fink

great way to terminate USA military sales to other countries. Great news for France.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Is this an end of support, like no security updates for windows XP, or is it a remote bricking?

Anyway, Norway should stop the switch to F35 and put in an order JAS gripen.

in reply to Randahl Fink

Germany should reconsider the purchase of the F-35:

bundeswehr.de/de/organisation/…

in reply to Randahl Fink

Does this mean SAAB JAS 39 is a better option for other countries as well?
in reply to Randahl Fink

USA cant be defeated, neither can Russia. We need an Iron Dome for Europe, and not more Weapons deliveries, why am I the only human on earth advocating for defense in its original meaning..
in reply to Randahl Fink

Exactly. There is not going to be a peace deal. Trump simply withdraws in steps. And all those steps are well orchestrated, including the #FightHouse
in reply to Randahl Fink

I take this very personally. My mom was a contracting officer and worked on this technology in the 90s. I was so proud of her! (She started out as a secretary, and started on the path to promotion after having raised six kids.) She is absolutely horrified to see what is happening to civil servants, but this broke her heart.
in reply to Gail Parenti

@gparenti All I am thinking about everyday is, how long before the American people will finally have had enough and stop this monster.
in reply to Randahl Fink

I'm worried that we have let the tools for stopping him slip through our fingers.
in reply to Randahl Fink

@mastodonmigration

It is incredible that the US has control of the hardware even after sales. How does this pass the defence procurement committees in nations that buy them? Is this true for every other plane too?

in reply to Randahl Fink

Do we know what else on the aircraft the Pentagon have a "kill switch" for?
in reply to Randahl Fink

This should also signal the same assessment of risks for all buyers of US military equipment (I guess they already were doing that), which I wish would create a pressure on of US's military production complex with realisation that their profits would be diminished by the current administration.
in reply to Randahl Fink

I'm sure this is delighting the U.S. arms manufacturers who will now have to deal with potential customers who don't want political intermeddling of that sort. Screw them - they all supported 47 anyway.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Meanwhile, the French Mirage 2000 still fly for Ukraine and will continue to be serviced.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Well done #Trump #otan #nato countries are cancelling F35 orders, watch the Lockheed Martin, Boeing share values collapse.
in reply to Randahl Fink

It is not surprising that some countries are changing their plans to buy more military equipment from manufacturers in the USA.
