#Gcompris is a great educational tool for kids. Our 4 year old daughter is used to touch screens and I just couldn't find a way to teach her how to use the mouse. Gcompris managed to do it in 30 minutes.
She is also learning letters, basic math, etc. in the process.

Thanks for the recommendation, i didn't know about GCompris. I'll try it with my son.

I did some translation job on #GCompris just because I know my daughters will soon need it 😀

They are using it since like 3-4 years too. It especially helped with learning colors, so thanks to whoever recorded the voices 😀

Very cool, and here is how to install it in Linux without uhm… executing some shell file as suggested on the website.

There is a #flatpak version: https://flathub.org/apps/org.kde.gcompris

omg that pun in the name of the program :blobfoxcrylaugh:

GCompris
» G + compris
» j'ai + compris (in French)
» "I understand"

Minetest/Minecraft did the same for my daughter with the mouse+keyboard (unfortunately, she didn't like gcompris as much as those games)
