28mph on a bicycle 😬
(maybe I am just a wimpy cyclist who is afraid to be going that fast anywhere)

part of what amazes me watching professional cycling is the speeds they routinely achieve for the entire peloton.
of course, they are pro athletes with bikes worth more than my car but still darned impressive.
speeds over 30mph/48kph on flats, easily 55mph/88kph on downhills.

It's definitely possible to drive these safely, but I consider the eScooter (the kickstooting one) as safer alternative to #bicycle at higher speeds - you can easily jump off in case of trouble. Try that on bicycle.
Of course you cannot drive like a no-brainer in middle of pedestrians.
What's definitely handy accesory for riding like this is helmet with indicators. And it also works well on #bike too!
