I really like #Tonearm as a #Tidal client: it has a native look and feel, integrates nicely with the #Linux desktop, works well on phones, consumes much less memory than the official Electron-based app.

Not sure what is behind the influx of native Linux desktop apps. It could be AI, or it could be that, thanks to GTK, libadwaita, Flatpak..., it has never been easier to build and distribute nice Linux desktop apps. Either way, I do enjoy the "back to native" trend.

Ale ten mi nepřijde tak dobrý. UI mi přijde méně přehledné a hlavně mi to z nějakého důvodu nechce hrát na nejvyšší kvalitu. Ale už to, že má člověk mezi nativními aplikacemi dokonce na výběr, je skvělá zpráva.

looking through the software store I'm noticing the same thing - a massive influx of really nicely done native applications. I agree devs are reaping the benefits of the ground work that has been done over the past years.

There's a lot of bitching about the Gnome ecosystem, but beyond idelogical barriers there's some very real value there.

For everything else there's Plan 9. 😂
