Good Guy thing to do would be open source them and change them to a GPL licence. Unreal Tournament is an old favourite of mine.

Too bad to see UT 1999 go. I always enjoyed playing this with friends at LAN parties. I guess as long as the server can be hosted locally or on a dedicated machine, we can play on. 🎮

screw Epic, they're modern line up sucks & they're EGS is garbage compared to Steam. The Unreal Series is a classic, Unreal Tournament is an incredible game. The community will keep it alive & Epic's Fortnight obsession will do them no favors in the long run.

I used to be such a big fan of UT, disappointed they killed the UE4 version for Fornite, despite both series could have co existed. This comes in no suprise tbh and just shows what a disappointment Epic Games is, not even a good Vulkan port of their engine, or supporting open standarts to begin with.

They've gotten comfortable with the massive piles of money they're getting from fortnite and unreal licensing, so they no longer give a rat's ass about their longtime fans. Last game was Oculus exclusive Robo Recall and before that MOBA Paragon that bombed.

Wish they at least threw a bone and open sourced Unreal Engine 1 so fans can maintain the games.

WTF? They had all the #rockband games in the store? Really? 🤯 I didnt remember seeing any of them! 😞

@gamingonlinux: I've already had it on GOG. Best classic shooter for me. I ever made my own levels back then. UT level editor is really easy to use despite of its UI bug I had to avoid.
