The ship has sailed, old generations are burned and tired of social, the new generations comming along are addicted to tiktok etc.
The hope of decentral and open source is not to win the nerds, but to accelerate good innovation that will make many more people join in new platforms that are fundementally different, offer more utility and less toxic / abusive
