The GDP of Russia is 2.2 trillion dollars. That is an economy about half the size of California. That is who the USA is now surrendering to in the Ukraine war. That is how much of a coward Trump is.
in reply to Randahl Fink

You still talk about what #USA does or does not. Somehow I feel like you forget, that Ukraine is neighbour of #EU

Why don't we do our homework?

#EU #usa

Barbara Mayler reshared this.

in reply to Schmaker

@schmaker and you seem to forget who has financed most of the Ukraine war.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Actually - I don't really care as russian aggression is mostly European security concern. Yet, we still don't even have total embargo on russian resources.

It's us who acts like cowards while we point on the other side of the ocean, where sits some old man in white house and resolves security of the country he propably would have hard times to find on map 😀

Somehow this "smoke curtain" works though. Not many are asking why are we Scholzing so much instead of blaming US

in reply to Schmaker

@schmaker watch my YouTube channel. I have raised that numerous times.
in reply to Randahl Fink

I know you did, but for me you are also a "random distant friend from Fediverse" (if that makes any sense) and here I see way too much of "bad Trump", "bad US" and "bad elections" posts, that's why I'm pretty much "balancing" this as somehow I also miss "bad EU", "bad Scholz" and "bad missing embargo" posts in between 😀

@schmaker

Without a European security structure, the US will be diminished to a regional power.

There's a reason NATO's article 5 was only invoked once: when the US was attacked, not when Europe was attacked. Americans cannot defend themselves against international enemies without European allies. Every American war overseas was fought with help from European allies (for our sins).

Ukraine is the Achilles Heel of Europe, NATO and the US. That's why Putin's so invested in taking it.

whats wrong with US being a regional power? Everyone is a regional power, why should US be different?

Why would anyone want a genocidal country to be a global power?

@ViXY_DBC
It's not about being right or wrong. US, EU, China are global powers. That means they assure that global trade can happen according to international law, freedom of navigation, trade agreements.

The moment one of those steps down, one of the two remaining will likely want to monopolise global trade. If freedom of navigation is highjacked by a single global power and food / products won't arrive to certain parts of the world, more wars will ensue. That's the problem of a US withdrawal.

in reply to Schmaker

ignorance is a powerful weapon. Ignoring the outcome and what happen in WWII also. Do you know the term to be allies? Do you know what triggered and how it started and how finish ?
Do you know that EU supports Ukraine 43% like US 43% ???
We should just let a country to cease to exists? Do you know how many times Churchill called and try for help? Do you know that US also had the same as today in that period ?
EU stand with you at 9/11 !!! Allies

Essentially, white Americans sold their country to the oligarchic dictatorship in order to buy cheap eggs and cars. Musk announced today that he would create a "new world order", which actually declared that the old America no longer exists. The new America will join hands with Russia and China to divide the world. Europe has become the last bastion of the old order. Putin and Musk are both followers of Dugin.
in reply to Randahl Fink

Judging from the voting records of different races, the underlying logic is that white Americans are unwilling to accept a "non-American" who does not have white blood. Therefore, "America is America for Americans" and "Immigration pollutes the blood of Americans" are widely accepted by white Americans.

in reply to Randahl Fink

also don't forget the GDP also counts production of military equipment and ammunition.

Which in economical terms is akin to burning the money in a barrel in the backyard. This is one reason inflation and interest rates in russia are at an all-time high.

in reply to Randahl Fink

Yes trump is a coward but he has and displays every other negative human characteristic possible. Frankly he would have been the first one kicked out of the Troop.
in reply to Randahl Fink

The fascists are aligning, Putin, Orban, Trump. Without U.S. help, Ukraine will have to strike a deal with Russia.

I assume you are a blogster who makes a living off hate speech. I made the mistake of trying to take you seriously, once before. I apologize.

except Russia's 2.2 Trillion can buy way more than California's 4.4 Trillion.

US economy is a scam, you get paid 4x more but everything cost 10x more.

in reply to Randahl Fink

i wish i could super-boost this. i want it on every car windshield, every kitchen table.
in reply to Randahl Fink

done. ✊🏼

I'm from California, so I'm very interested in anything that might show a path for how we can leverage our powerful economy to keep Trump and his cronies in check.

@fixiemama awesome.

I went to Long Beach LA for a conference some years ago. LA impressed me. Did not get to see all the beautiful Californian nature sites, though.

Next time.
