When we visited the exhibition of the Museum of Public Transport in #Brno, I saw a #Škoda 100 and told my kids that my parents had it as their first car when I was as old as they are now. They looked at me in total disbelief. 😄
@ikkeT it was a used car. The production ended in 1977 and they bought it around 1989, so it was a fairly dated car when they got it, but it was all they could afford. Then the regime fell, my father started his business and in 90s he could afford Škoda 120, VW Golf, VW Vento, VW Passat. But I remember none of the later cars brought so much joy into the family like the old Škoda 100. 🙂
@janotomko not really, there is a depository of Brno Technical Museum with public transport vehicles in Řečkovice. It's not normally open, but there are days when they take all the vehicles out and do an exhibition. And one of those days was today.
