fediblock of mastodon.arch-linux.cz. Providing a screenshot so you don't have to visit the instance, and even if it's deleted later, we retain evidence. The issue was this sort of thing has been reported up to the instance admin and they have not done their proper job moderating.

Edit: the post was taken down, but the admin says that it's ok to leave the user in place, so they're allowed to do future racist posts to Black people about Roma people. This to me says "Egregious racism and xenophobia is ok on this instance, as long as you delete the post afterwards", which is not how I moderate my instance. If you say everyone from a certain group of people "smells bad" and "commits criminal activity", that is extremely fucked up language and I would not allow that person to stay on my instance. If you think this is only worth a slap on the wrist, don't comment, as I'll block you too 🤷
I don't even use arch linux.

You can scrape the swastikas off a nazi bar's tables, but if the nazis are still allowed in the bar, you haven't addressed the root cause (and the swastikas will be back).

And honestly - even I do not get what's the problem. Dude acted like idiot, was notified, moderated and makes no problems anymore.
There won't be much #fediverse if people would block each others instances after one rule-violation 😀

They just don't want to see any more racist outburst from this account, and if the admin won't ban it entirely, then the instance block makes sense for them. As usual, Fediblock is a suggestion and relies on verification and trust.
You do not have to follow it but also you can't really question the initial intent. The general state of the Fediverse isn't their responsibility.

Actually I think #Fediverse admins should definitely talk about what measures to take in terms of moderation and federation as long as someone is suggesting blocking whole instance for one post, that was moderated.
Common moderation process on #Czech instances is:
1. Delete post, notify user
2. If violated again, block the user
3. (not always) admins warn themselves if violator registers on different instance
In my point of view blocking whole instance is overreaction as long as it's easy to just defederate rule violator.
In my point of view you defederate instances where bad stuff is tolerated, not instances, where it's moderated - that does not make sense and even though it is meant to be just a recommendation this can make instance appear on some sort of block list between csam and nazis, where nobody checks url after url if they actually are problematic.
I consider this more dangerous than one (moderated) post

I do know I won't be following this block suggestion as I see it the same way as you: the racist post was timely removed, the account existence doesn't seem intended to provoke, and their instance doesn't seem to show any additional harmful content in their public timeline.
But I know I'm personally privileged because I can afford to give people like these the benefit of the doubt. Not everyone else can. Additionally, your potential block list scenario seems neither likely nor particularly damaging to me. Just like in real life, people aren't supposed to be able to reach everybody else around. It is one of the greatest strength of the Fediverse, and of course it has its own drawbacks.

Yes, I am aware of the report and the user has already been contacted. It’s not always possible to respond immediately – not everyone can just sit down at the computer right away. Some of the reports were handled in the morning, and I will finish the rest after returning home.
I take moderation seriously, but running the instance is a volunteer activity that I do in my free time. If any further issues come up, please feel free to reach out – I always review reports as soon as I can.
I don’t understand why you immediately issue a fediblock. Is it really the case that if something isn’t resolved within five minutes, the whole instance gets blocked? I honestly don’t get it.
