@schmaker @Mastodon No, I meant Mastodon. Fediverse consists of a lot of software. Some even include Bluesky, which is completely US based, in it. But Mastodon has clear European roots.

I now understand the difference you mean and you're right, Fediverse actually includes lots of instances worldwide.

I actually do not consider anything, that's not being #ActivityPub based as part of it, yet it's quite Europe-centric anyways as #Friendica, #Peertube, #Mastodon and afaik even #Hubzilla has euro-roots (and I sure missed a lot others) 😀
