Hey Linux people: is there a good GUI app for making bootable Linux USB drives so I don't have to use the dd command? Ideally something available on most distributions. #linux #foss
Disks app? (Standard app within GNOME Shell desktop environment. An ISO can be opened with "Write image to disk" option... Cannot get easier that that... 🙂 )
Moreover, there is also a preinstalled app called "Create bootable disk" app in Ubuntu...
(As a side note: It is totally beyond me why people keep creating new and new apps with new funny names for this purpose, when there are standard solutions available for more than a decade? 🤔 )

At this moment though I'd prefer #Ventoy - you can put as many images as you want on the flash drive and boot whichever you want to
Corbin Davenport likes this.
