Pochopili jste někdo, proč mě #DeltaChat nutí zrušit messenger v rámci aktuálního e-mailu s tím, že musim použít nějakej jejich (jakejkoliv) relay?
Jsem z toho zmatenej, ale používal jsem DeltaChat a e-mail v rámci jedný schránky (chaty se archivovaly v /deltachat) a fungovalo to celkem obstojně. Teď mě to chce přesunout na nějakej jejich relay s tím, že ten mi vygeneroval nějakej randomizovanej handle.
Přitom mně celkem vyhovovalo, že se mi e-maily tváří jako samostatnej chat.
Chápu něco špatně?

what you will not be able to do is to use the same email address / inbox with Delta Chat and another email client, so you rather just use Delta Chat or just use the classic email client app for that account, this was discouraged since long time, because handling the same inbox with two apps one for chatting and another for classic email was problematic (unwanted notifications in email client etc)

it was also causing maintenance burden/issues and dead ends, in any case, there is no other option than dealing with present situation and move on
and trust me, there is no need for handling everything with a single address as if it was scarce resource and DC has multi-account support, etc.

it doesn't need its own infrastructure, folks, we are talking just about a dedicated email inbox, you don't need to setup a whole separate server for that, it is just another email account in your server, that said, no offense taken, and it is okay if you don't want to use the app, but this is not a big deal at all, people have more than one email address, aliases, etc. usually already anyways

and notice that this is not a big operation you can literally add the new address as relay and then smoothly transition to it without your chat partners even noticing, while you keep the old address only for reading/writing to people that doesn't have delta chat and you can have both in delta chat, the only difference is it is as separated profiles
