#Poland police arrested three #Ukraine citizens (aged 39–43) in the center of Warsaw who were traveling in a car equipped with:
- advanced hacking equipment,
- a spy device detector,
- SIM cards, routers, FLIPPER, antennas,
- laptops, cameras, and portable drives.
The seized devices could have been used to breach security and interfere with strategic IT systems. That resembles a bit the arrest of #GRU officers in #Netherlands in 2018 while they tried to hack #OPCW corporate network. This of course could be regular cyber criminals or pentesters, but I’d say these days this kind of jobs would display certain lack of self-preservation instinct in each case.
P.S. “Ukraine citizens” is essentially holder of passport of Ukraine, doesn’t tell you anything of nationality or political affiliation.

Because I have an impression that too many people simply don’t understand what exactly #EuropeanUnion fined #Twitter and #Meta for and uncritically internalised the US narrative of “censorship”, I’ve asked… Grok. Here’s the bottom line:
No, the fines had nothing to do with #censorship - they were for a massive flood of scam and fake accounts, that is bot farms. Plus some B2B monopolistic abuse (DMA).

Teď trochu insiderský informace - výrobci teď v rámci "zabezpečení" samozřejmě pracujou na tom, aby se do toho nikdo dostat nemohl, protože máš spousty zranitelných systémů a všechno je to propojený. Určitě bys nechtěl, aby se ti USBčkem, OBDčkem nebo WiFi hotspotem útočník dostal do auta .. a to v kterémkoliv místě.
A samozřejmě tím pádem bude podstatně složitější výměna kteréhokoliv systému v rámci vozu a už teď se ve spoustě aut musí všechno diagnosticky povolit v rámci autorizovaný sítě.
Bricknout auto je podstatně dražší sranda, než telefon s Androidem 😀

Hi guys,
my worker daemon is trying to do some job that is making my system go OOM literally every 5 minutes.
Problem is, that worker runs, then goes nuts and consume 4 cores and all available memory (+-2,5Gigs), then OOMs. Nothing i tried had any effect.
I run 2025.07rc from YuNoHost, but had same issue on 2024.12
I would like to ask you for guidance - I guess I need to pin-point the job and propably delete it maually (or do it from my desktop with 32Gigs of RAM remotely).
Things I tried so far
Upgrading to 2025
Reduce worker threads
Reduce queries per worker job
Reduce buffer and packet sizes for MariaDB and PHP
Reduce pm.max_children
Enabling database cleanup in admin panel

Sadly that log level doesn't tell enough. I suppose that you still get these exceptions regularly? if yes then please enable the "debug" loglevel. Then search for the value after
worker_id in the log line with the exception. Then collect all entries with the same value.
I just checked in a hurry and it does not seems like there are any new worker related DEBUG lines in the log. I'll let it run and check back in the evening after work.

This log currently contains a lot of stuff. it would important that we find an exception there and then we have to filter for the worker_id, since otherwise we see a lot of unrelated stuff.
That was my bad. I filtered wrong identificator and noticed too late and then suddenly connection to my VPS crashed. I just restored it, sorry about that 😀

You could increase the memory limit to find a sweet spot where your system doesn't crash but the worker runs through - but I don't know if this will happen.
if you are lucky, you could have a look into the workerqueue table to check if there is an entry with the id with the value 18327277. Then we could see which command is responsible.
Did some research and it seems to me (not sure, not a dev) that it's all caused by 2023s activitypub-troll.cf raid.
Even though I banned and tried to purge this, it seems like there are way too many records for server to handle and that's why there were OOMs.
That could be propably fixed on Friendicas side by some way of limiting?

I just want to confirm that deleting 37M (!) of gserver troll records fixed the leak. Some kind of limitation for the UpdateBlockedServers could make sense though 😀

Jsme ve finále - swapnutá VPS z pískoviště na produkci. To byla asi nejhezčí práce - jeden klik a půl hodinky chroupání na VPSkách 😀
Dumpem mi to nevyšlo a ještě to šíleně trvá. Data se překlopily a přitom se nešlo přihlásit, uživatel "neexistuje"
Je to divný, ale moje znalosti SQL a hostování obecně nejsou tak dobrý na to, abych přišel na to, co dělám blbě.
Mně by se v principu líbil příkaz, kterej z jedný databáze udělá klon druhý (jako že budou data chodit do obojího) a pak jen switchnu mašinu v konfigu friendicy.
@jan Záleží z jakého uživatele ten dump uděláš a jestli řekneš, že v tom dumpu má být jeho vytvoření.
Replikace db viz. mariadb.com/docs/server/ha-and…, ale to mi přijde jednodušší přijít na to, co je v dumpu blbě 😉

@jan Dump by měl fungovat, předtím bych stopnul aplikaci ať jsou konzistentní data. Pokud je prob s výkonem, je dobrý mydumper (používám i na zálohování). Seš schopný ho pustit na obou stranách?
Myslíš uživatelé MySQLu, žejo? Nedává přeci smysl, aby friendica měla přístup k loginům v databázi, ke který nemá heslo
Rozmohl se nám takovej nešvar - #Android appky se bez ověření #GooglePlay ani nezapnou, takže když je sosnete pomocí #AuroraStore, máte pešek.

Štáty EÚ sa zhodli na návrhu proti detskej pornografii, Slovensko podľa zdrojov ČTK hlasovalo proti. Nariadenie prezývané Chat Control a známe pod skratkou CSAM malo množstvo kritikov a dlho nemalo dostatočnú podporu.
Okrem Slovenska hlasovali proti aj Česko, Poľsko, a Holandsko, Taliansko sa zdržalo. Česku podľa zdrojov ČTK prekážalo prelamovanie šifrovanej komunikácie.
Na schválenie bola potrebná kvalifikovaná väčšina a dánske predsedníctvo v Rade EÚ sa snažilo dosiahnuť kompromis. Návrh nakoniec po dlhých týždňoch rokovaní podporilo Nemecko, ktoré bolo dlho proti.
So schválenou pozíciou teraz pôjde Rada EÚ do rokovaní s Európskym parlamentom.
Čo je v návrhu
Po prijatí nového predpisu budú digitálne spoločnosti povinné zabrániť šíreniu materiálov zobrazujúcich sexuálne zneužívanie detí.
Príslušné vnútroštátne orgány potom budú mať právomoc uložiť spoločnostiam povinnosť odstraňovať obsah a blokovať prístup k nemu alebo – v prípade vyhľadávačov – vyraďovať výsledky vyhľadávania.
Nariadenie okrem iného zriaďuje aj novú agentúru EÚ, ktorá bude podporovať členské štáty a poskytovateľov online služieb pri vykonávaní normy.
Česká pozícia
Odchádzajúci český minister vnútra Vít Rakušan ešte v októbri na rokovaní v Luxemburgu zopakoval, že Česko návrh odmieta. Šírenie detskej pornografie podľa neho treba riešiť, ale nie prelamovaním šifrovanej komunikácie.
Hovorca Európskej komisie Markus Lammert nedávno návrh bránil tým, že nehovorí o všeobecnom sledovaní internetovej komunikácie.
Spoločnosti podľa neho budú musieť iba odhaliť materiály týkajúce sa sexuálneho zneužívania detí. Nebude existovať nič také ako kontrola četu, zdôraznil Lammert. (čtk, n)

A few obvious ambushes for #Ukraine in the “28 points peace plan” leaked by Ukrainian media (but note, many sources say it’s not the real plan passed to Ukraine’s government but a modified version):
- 7 b,d - a single attack from Ukraine on Russia basically cancels the whole US guarantees, and it is a fantastic recipe for repeat of 1999 “Basayev’s raid on Dagestan”, that is where a single “rogue commander” can restart the war at a moment suitable for Russia. Alternatively, if Russia can’t recruit any “rogue commander” it can just stage a terrorist attack on its territory unavoidably discovering “Ukrainian traces”. This is literally how Russia cancelled its peace agreement with Ichkeria in 1999.
- 16 - legal ban on invading each other. Except Russia already has a article 353 of Criminal Code which makes it a crime to “plan, prepare or execute an aggressive war” and you can see, Russian courts are overloaded with criminal cases against Putin (not)
- 20 b - removal of any restrictions of Russian and Ukrainian schools and media in both countries. Absurd, granted that there is literally 0 (zero) Ukrainian schools or media in Russia, who has even purged Ukrainian libraries since 2014.
- 20 c - “ban on Nazism” in both countries - the absurdity of this point is that Nazism is already banned in both Russia and Ukraine. Except in Russia, the law called “ban on Nazism” doesn’t really ban Nazism but… anti-Soviet fighters, that may or may not include Nazis. Add to that the highly flexible approach to written law in Russia, which involves absence of prosecution of outright Nazis like Milchakov, “Topaz”, “Espanola”, simply because “they are ours”.
- 21 subpoints about territorial changes chaotically mix de facto recognition and “international recognition” in a way that implies that the Kramators and Slovyansk aglomeration will become a massive legal blackhole, where neither Ukrainian nor Russian armed forces will be present, which of course means control by “Wagner” or some other such shady structure.
- 26 - mutual amnesty for everyone. A fantastic lesson and prize for Russian war criminals which essentially proves that doing war crimes works in long term.
- 27 - “execution of the treaty will be controlled”, except it won’t because another item bans presence of any foreign forces in Ukraine or the occupied territories. Which means there will be no external oversight and it will be the fox who will be guarding the henhouse.
And that’s pretty much it! I don’t see item 6 which assumes “reduction of Ukrainian armed forces to 600’000” as an ambush, because it’s really much higher than it was before 2022 (250k)! Compared to today wartime 1m it’s 40% reduction, but at ceasefire Ukraine won’t be able nor willing to sustain such a large army anyway.
Granted that this is not the final agreement but likely some kind of test for the public opinion I wouldn’t say it’s “capitulation of Ukraine”. Yes, voluntary surrender of Kramatorsk and Slovyansk is painful, but then you need to think how much longer they will hold and at which cost. I don’t know that and I assume only Kyiv knows how much reserves they still have.
I would say the opposite, the plan much more resembles capitulation of Russia because the mere fact that Russia agrees to “line of contact” and exit from Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk region is a viisible failure of Putin’s explicit 2023 plan of annexation.
Everything else in this plan is Putin’s failure of his 2022 implicit plan of regime change in Ukraine, so in total it’s a complete Russian failure in the war, because at the cost of 1.5m soldiers and setting their economy 10 year back they gain burned out ruins of town they themselves ruined and promise of partial lifting of sanctions, so merely a chance to gradually start returning to pre-2022 trade, except nobody will treat them the same way and trust them.
And at on top of all this they will get ~1m violent and traumatised veterans returning home to… what exactly? Towns that were underinvested shitholes even before 2022 and for the last few years they have degraded even further because Russia redirected all money on the war effort.
currently i see this draft plan as a deal where Ukraine gives Russia some land as a price for no more disputes with Russia about Ukraine as an independent a state. The question for me though, if Ukraine is ready for such a scenario then what is the role of the US, as there were no one to help Finland during Winter War and the result was basicly the same. Not sure that for example Taiwan would be happy of such a US proposal.
I have no doubts that if Ukraine has reserves to hold Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk and Slovyansk for another year, they will, because this significantly weakens Russia and exponentially increases chance of catastrophic outcome for them. I’m just cautiously keeping in mind that Ukraine’s resilience is also limited in time, which is why I believe it will be always up to Kyiv if and when accept the ceasefire, and on what conditions.

Já s Blenderem před lety blbnul, takže nějaký základy tam dokážu klepnout. Tou dobou by mě fakt nenapadlo, že to budu používat k 3D tiskárně 😁
Obvykle to dělám tak, že udělám kostku, vyextruduju z ní co je potřeba a modifikátory "vystřílím" díry 😀
Bez mučení přiznávám, že úhly jsem zatím nepoužil
předpokládám ze to otazka na blender v OpenSCAD na to používat trigonometrické funkce. Případně se také dá pouzit rotate object v kombinaci Union/Difference/Intersection.

V rámci let's get #fit akce, která u nás v domácnosti už asi třetí rok probíhá jsme řešili kalorickej příjem, protože se ukázalo, že vyvážení naší stravy neni úplně v cajku 😀
Hromadou našeho příjmu byl čistej #cukr v kafíčkách a podobných legráckách.
Shrnutí postřehů:
- klasický sladidlo je hnusný
- stévie nechává takovou divnou pachuť
- čekankový sladidlo jsem si oblíbil já - je to takovej "medovej" nesmysl se spoustou vlákniny - win-win, jen drahý jako prase
- sukralóza je asi nejpodobnější náhrada cukru a je vlastně levná
Píšu to proto, že tenhle sortiment neni jen pro diabetiky a už jsem to všechno zkusil - vy nemusíte 😀
